Spring & Fall Clean-Up
Spring Clean-Up – This is a general clean-up of leaves and debris from the planting beds. Perennial plants that were not cut back in the fall will be cut down to let the new growth through. Shrubs will receive a light pruning or shearing and smaller trees may receive corrective pruning if needed. Pre- Emergent herbicide is applied to perennial beds to control weed growth.
Fall Clean-Up – Cutting back of perennial flowers (if desired) and removal of annual plants. Tree wrap is installed on younger trees to prevent winter damage from rodents and the weather.
General Maintenance
This program provides the basic overall maintenance to your landscape including weeding, pruning, deadheading, fertilization, and pest control. At each visit, the Landscape Management crew will perform an assessment of the landscape and leave a copy of the assessment for your information. Landscape Renovations does its best to use Integrated Pest Management (IPM) practices to control pest problems in the landscape. Close monitoring of the landscape enables us to catch a problem before it spreads, and whenever possible, use mechanical means such as hand weeding, removing diseased foliage, or other preventative measures to counteract pest outbreaks instead of regularly applying a general pesticide.
Professional Tree & Shrub Care
Landscape Renovations offers a variety of professional tree and shrub care options. We have ISA Certified Arborists on staff to answer questions about everything from proper pruning techniques and timing to questions about Emerald Ash Borer and other pest management. Knowledgeable pruning and shearing of trees, shrubs, and hedges is just one of the services that we offer. We have a comprehensive Integrated Pest Management program for trees and shrubs as well, including safe and effective injectable tree treatments and deep root fertilization, as well as conventional tree care options.
Pond & Water Feature Maintenance
Proper maintenance is the key to a perfectly running pond. Let us take care of start up, shut down, and clean out of your water feature or pond. Our crews have a complete checklist and run through every part of the system before starting up in the spring. This includes cleaning out all debris left from fall and winter, checking underwater lighting, testing the transformer, changing filters, and testing all pump equipment. During the season we will monitor plant growth or algae problems and can recommend solutions to keep the system clean and running smoothly. During the fall shut down, we carefully pump out the system and winterize equipment to ensure that everything starts up perfectly in the spring.
Additional Services
Shredded Bark Mulch – Bark mulch helps to maintain planting bed moisture and inhibit weed growth, and is key to
the success of a Plant Health Care program. Convert your rock mulch planting beds to sustainable bark mulch, or refresh your existing beds with a top dressing of fresh bark mulch.
Annual, Bulb, and Container Planting – Add seasonal color to your landscape with annual flowering plants, flowering bulbs, and winter decorations. We will provide annuals and other seasonal plantings, such as fall mums and spruce tips, in containers or directly into your existing landscaping.
Rose Care – Roses are beautiful specimen plants that need extra care and attention in our northern climate. We have the knowledge to determine different care levels for different species of roses, and will provide special fertilization, pest control, timely pruning, and winterization techniques to ensure that your roses come back more beautiful each year.
Hardscape Maintenance – Protect your investment in your patio, driveway, walk or other hardscape areas in your landscape. We will perform regular cleaning, power washing, re-sealing, or other services needed to maintain the beauty of your installed hardscapes.
Perennial Plant Division – Sustain and encourage continued flowering of your perennial plantings with periodic divisions of plants.
Lawn Renovation – As a result of high traffic, salt, extreme weather conditions, or other factors, your lawn may require comprehensive measures to bring it back to life. Our lawn renovation includes removal of damaged areas, soil preparation, grading, and seeding or sod.
Landscape Design & Installation – Enhance or expand your existing landscape with additional hardscapes and plantings, a new water feature, irrigation system, landscape lighting, or renovate your old existing landscape to suit your current lifestyle.

Landscape Renovations is committed to helping clients reduce environmental impact and resource consumption in the landscape. We have a number of solutions to promote energy and water conservation, manage storm water and irrigation runoff, and promote sustainability and lower chemical input throughout your landscape.
