Estimator/Project Manager
Jim was born and raised in South Saint Paul (Go Packers!). He started his landscaping career making $1.80/hour in the greenhouses at Gertens Nursery at age 15. He studied landscape design and architecture at the University of Minnesota where he gained creative design skills and quality/functional discipline. In his 35 years in the field Jim has worked in every aspect of the landscaping industry including design, sales, and installation. He joined our team in 2001 and works with architects and clients doing project budgeting, estimating, and management. Jim brings his vast knowledge base to every project to ensure a beautiful and functional outcome.In his free time, Jim enjoys spending time with his wife and three daughters. Outdoor activities are his passion: he loves fishing, hiking, snorkeling, and skiing. When he is not enjoying the outdoors you can usually find him cheering on the Vikings and Timberwolves.
